Recently, a new booster pump station was installed near 41st and Post Road in Hays.
This booster station, along with a new water line installed under Interstate 70, will provide an additional source of water north of I-70 and improve water pressure to homes and businesses in the northwest corner of Hays.
From Tuesday through Sept. 14, city staff along with Midlands Contracting Inc. will be testing the new booster pump station, the water line and finalizing connections in the system.
Businesses and homeowners in the new pressure zone may notice fluctuations in their water pressure.
