For the last several years, another Green car dealership has stepped up to aid the city by donating a new Chevrolet to help make the Green All Sports Booster Club/Green Band Boosters’ fundraiser a financial success.
The program began with Doug Chevrolet and now is in the hands of Ted Petranic, sales manager at Serra Auto Park on the Green Auto Mile.
Rick Miller, new vice president of the GASBC, said discussion is underway as to when and how the raffle will be handled this year amid the problem of social distancing and other factors created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miller noted that the vehicles have been donated by Chevrolet and the dealership, with the winner only paying the taxes on the prize.
